RCIA
(Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults)

RCIA is not a program, but rather a process to prepare adults (18 years and older) to discern eternal truths, to discover traditional values and above all, to gain knowledge and love for Christ.

At St. Benedict's, the RCIA team (with Fr. Brian Taylor and six catechrists) facilitates the conversion process, not only by the teaching of the Catholic Church, but through the liturgy and the witness of the faith-based community.

If you, or someone you know, wishes to participate in adult sacrament education, and would like to receive one or all of the Sacraments of Baptism, Reconciliation, First Holy Communion and/or Confirmation to be received at the Easter Vigil in April 19, 2014 and witnessed by the congregation of St. Benedict's Parish, please contact the rectory at (718)828-3403 and leave your name and number.  This year's classes will start in September and end in June 2014.

All are welcome on this spiritual journey, discovering the joys of the Catholic faith and the fullness of the meaning of the Catholic Church.

God Bless you.

Fr. Brian and the RCIA Team Facilitators
